Terms of Service

These terms describe the rules for creating and opening digital gift reveals with Joyfold.

Effective July 26, 2026

1. Agreement and eligibility

By using Joyfold, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement.

2. What Joyfold provides

Joyfold is a presentation service that lets a sender wrap a digital gift announcement in an interactive reveal. Joyfold is not the seller, issuer, custodian, or guarantor of the underlying ticket, reservation, account transfer, gift card, or other gift.

Delivery, validity, availability, refunds, and redemption of an underlying gift remain between the sender, recipient, and relevant merchant or provider.

3. Your content and responsibilities

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Joyfold a limited license to host, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

You must have the right to share everything you submit. You may not:

  • use Joyfold for fraud, scams, deception, or impersonation;
  • threaten, harass, exploit, or endanger another person;
  • infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights;
  • share illegal sexual content or content involving child abuse;
  • introduce malware or attempt to probe or disrupt the service;
  • bypass limits, moderation, access controls, or security measures;
  • use the service for any illegal or prohibited purpose.

4. Bearer links and expiration

A recipient link works like a bearer link: anyone who has it may be able to view the gift. Senders are responsible for sharing links only with intended recipients. Gifts ordinarily expire six calendar months after creation and may be deleted after expiration.

5. Reports and enforcement

You can report a published gift without an account or without unwrapping it. See the Abuse Policy. Joyfold may review, suppress, restore, restrict, preserve, or remove content and may restrict use of the service when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, security, or enforcement of these Terms. A report does not automatically remove a gift.

6. Service changes and availability

Joyfold is an early-stage service. Features may change, and the service may be suspended or discontinued. We do not promise that every reveal or recipient link will remain available, including when a gift expires, is reported, violates these Terms, or cannot be served safely.

7. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Joyfold is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. Joyfold does not guarantee any underlying gift.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Joyfold and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, value, profits, or opportunities arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date, and continued use after the change means you accept the updated Terms. For safety or policy questions, use the contact method in the Abuse Policy.
